We also acknowledge that many displaced families are still in limbo, searching for refuge and a stable place to call home. And we celebrate the opportunities that everyday Americans have through the Welcome Corps to help refugees find safety and security.

Through the Welcome Corps, Americans from all walks of life can play a critical role in the lives of refugees by providing essential support to ensure refugees feel secure and empowered to be active members of the communities welcoming them.
At the end of 2023, more than 117 million people worldwide were forcibly displaced and left in search of the safety and stability every family deserves. Many refugees approved for resettlement don’t yet know someone in the United States. You can help refugees feel secure, supported, and empowered to be active members of their new communities.
Sponsor groups help newly arriving refugees with things like securing housing, accessing healthcare, enrolling children in school, finding employment, and integrating into the local community.
Financial Assistance is Available through the Sponsor Fund
Thanks to the generous support from private donors, the Welcome Corps is pleased to announce the expansion of the Sponsor Fund to provide financial assistance for sponsor groups applying to welcome refugees they do not already know.
Now through July 31, grants are available to lower financial barriers and cover 100% of the initial financial requirements for sponsor groups applying to be matched with a refugee or family. You can qualify in two simple steps:
- Complete this form with information about your group and how many people you can welcome. For example, a single refugee or a family of four.
- Our team will review your form and provide a pre-award letter to upload as part of your Welcome Corps application.
